Sermon on the Mount

“Partnering to Remember” was started by Tim Brister in 2011. He showed everyone the “memory moleskine” concept and set many of us in FBC Huntsville, AL, on a course of memorizing Philippians.

During the fall of 2011, there was a church-wide effort to draw people in to “partner” to memorize Scripture together – in this case, the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7). And that’s how this small blog was born. The blog did serve as a focal point for our church’s Scripture memorization effort.  After that time, some smaller groups worked to memorize Colossians and 1 Peter.

The blog has fallen into disrepair of late, and I am hoping to retool it into a place where the Sunday school class I lead can comment on the material we are learning.

The blog is maintained by Heinrich DuBose-Schmitt, under the care of Jud Reasons (Associate Pastor).

You can learn more about our church at FBC Huntsville, or by calling the church office at 256-428-9400.

  1. Your commitment to memorize Scripture is inspiring. What a wonderful idea to partner with people in holding one another accountable to learning God’s word.
